Why regular care matters

Small attention. A clearer picture.

Maintenance helps you understand your system. It does not guarantee that your system will never need a repair.

Get ahead of the season.

Give your cooling and heating a check before the weather asks more of them.

Know what needs attention.

A professional inspection can uncover developing issues and help you plan your next step.

Support everyday performance.

Attention to airflow, controls, and equipment condition helps your system do its job.

A rhythm for the seasons

Different seasons. Thoughtful care for both.

Follow your manufacturer’s guidance. Equipment type, age, and usage help determine the right maintenance schedule.

Before the warmer months

Ready for cooling season.

Humidity and longer run times make spring a useful time to discuss your cooling system.

Professional inspection topics may include:

  • Thermostat settings and cooling operation
  • Airflow, filter condition, and coil condition
  • Condensate drainage and electrical components

Before the cooler months

Ready for heating season.

A heating check helps you understand how your equipment is performing before colder weather.

Professional inspection topics may include:

  • Heating operation and system controls
  • Heat pump and supplemental heat operation, if applicable
  • Equipment-specific electrical and safety checks

Between visits, keep the basics simple.

Check filters as directed by the manufacturer, keep vents clear, and maintain recommended clearance around outdoor equipment. Leave electrical panels, refrigerant, and internal equipment work to qualified professionals.

These are general maintenance considerations, not confirmed membership inclusions. Scope depends on your equipment and selected service. Ask whether cleaning, refrigerant, parts, or repairs are included or priced separately.

A little peace of mind

A few things you might be wondering.

There’s no one-size-fits-all answer for your home. We’re here to help you find yours.

Ask our team
How often should my HVAC be serviced?

Follow the equipment manufacturer’s guidance. Many homes benefit from a cooling check before summer and a heating check before colder weather; usage and equipment type may change that schedule.

How do I learn the current plan price and benefits?

Call (757) 267-6477 to review current membership pricing, billing terms, included visits, benefits, equipment eligibility, and exclusions with Expert Air. We will discuss the details before you decide to enroll.

How often should I replace my air filter?

Check the filter manufacturer’s recommendation and inspect it regularly. Filter type, pets, household conditions, and system usage affect how quickly it loads with dust.

Can I book a single visit instead of joining?

Yes. Use Book Maintenance to start an individual maintenance request, or call to discuss your needs and any applicable charges. Booking a visit does not enroll you in a membership, and an online request does not guarantee an appointment.

Is my existing system eligible?

Eligibility depends on the equipment and current plan terms. Share the brand, model, age, and any known problems when you call. We will confirm whether the available options fit your system rather than assuming every unit qualifies.

Do you offer maintenance where I live?

Our primary residential service areas are Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, and Norfolk. We’re also happy to serve the additional Peninsula and western communities shown on our coverage map. Existing Eastern Shore customers continue to receive service as needed. Call with your address to confirm coverage and scheduling.
